It’s hard to believe someone would abandon their dog, let alone someone who can’t see.
But that’s what happened to Kanga, a blind golden retriever who was found with his brother in a field near Long Beach.
Rescuers immediately noticed that Kanga was not only blind, but he also had congenital defects in his feet that made it difficult for him to walk.
Rescuers believe Kanga’s previous owner may have found it too difficult to care for him.
Fortunately for Kanga, he was taken in by the Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles (GRCGLA) Rescue.
They took care of him while searching for a forever family who could properly care for him. An affectionate golden retriever spent some time waiting to be adopted, until one day the special dog found the perfect home.
