In 2015, in Huntsville, Bjarne (which means “bear” in Norwegian) managed to live on the streets. Bjarni only had half a nose, which an animal control officer realized when he saw him, was contracted and taken to the shelter. Bjarni was not actually lost, he had a family.
Your dog was at the shelter, the family was advertised, but they said they didn’t want him. How sad. The family refused to take it back and only took one look at it, by all reports. Ann Graber is the promoter of The Angels of St. Francis, an animal rescue organization based in Texas.
To make Bjarni comfortable and happy Ann said she was willing to do what it took Bjarni had some trouble breathing and eating, as you might expect. However, he is a soft dog in all other relationships and loves people.
Bjarni had facial injuries, presumably caused because he had several dog attacks, he also had a lot of scars and bites on his body, Ann was able to reach out to Gulf Coast veterinary specialists for help, and Bjarni’s nose will be fixed by Dr. Jason Ballara! Bjarni’s face was realigned during reconstructive surgery, so he could breathe and eat, Bjarni had surgery and made a full recovery.
