This Canadian traveler Meagan Penman was traveling in Thailand when she met Leo the poor paralyzed dog dragging its both legs on the beach. As soon as she saw that, Penman knew that she had to help, by all means.
When she met him, Leo had no signs that it belongs to someone and its body was full of obvious scars. Penman found an animal rescue agency in Thailand that might be able to help the poor dog, but unfortunately, they are not willing to take the paralyzed dog.
โI found this little guy on a beach in Thailand dragging his paralyzed body around.โ
โI couldnโt find any rescues in Thailand to take him so I decided to bring him back to Canada.โ
That was the moment Penman realized that she herself is the only choice that she has, so the kind girl decided to take Leo back with her to Canada. However, taking animals out of the country is not an easy thing to do.
Leo was waiting for treatment at a Thai vetโs office.
Leo has a broken spine and will never able to walk again.
Fortunately, Penman received a $2000 donation from people on the internet to cover all the expenses related to Leo.
After check-ups, it turned out that Leo has a broken spine and he will never be able to walk again. He also had operations for various problems with his urinary tract.
Leo needed to wear diapers until his urinary problems are fixed.
As much as she loves Leo, Penman decided that she needed to find the dog a new forever home due to all the vet expenses. Thanks to his cute and adorable puppy eyes, it didnโt take long before Leo found Jamie, a kind woman who agreed on becoming his new foster mother!
Leo with his new foster mother, Jamie!
Leo is finally able to walk again with the help of this wheelchair! Weโre glad that Leo is now with people that love and care for him!
