The furry animal was actually adopted, but they ended up bringing him back because he was too difficult to care for. No one wanted to give her a chance for months until she finally discovered people who cared about her.
The American Humane Rescue Alliance doesn’t believe in giving away the puppies it rescues, so it prepared once again to introduce Fiona. Fractured Syndrome causes the furry girl to lose hair, urinate constantly, need expensive medications, and have a stomach that’s close to the ground.
All this makes it an interesting proposition from the point of view of families wanting to adopt a dog. She was adopted out in January of this year, but by August was back at the shelter. The volunteers knew it would be difficult to give her up for adoption, but they weren’t going to give her up.
Monica Whittaker wanted to adopt a kitten with her 5-year-old daughter, Mianni. But then they noticed Fiona, “Is she pregnant?” I asked the woman, and they said no, and she described her unique and vulnerable condition. She also revealed all the extra care she needed from her and admitted that it was precisely for this reason that no one wanted to adopt her.
Young Mianni then went to pat the dog, and a volunteer gave her a slice of cheese to break into small pieces so she could give it to Fiona. However, the girl ignored this and offered her the whole cheese slice, expecting to see Della thrilled from the start.
The little girl immediately knew she wanted to adopt the dog, and her mother started crying. Monica knows rejection because her 19-year-old son was in an accident when he was six, which left him with a speech impediment as well as an intellectual disability.
The woman knew what Fiona had been through, so the decision wasn’t difficult: they would no longer adopt a cat, but a beautiful dog. Everyone in the rescue group bid farewell to the mysterious girl who had already been there for 120 days the next morning, with tears in their eyes.
In a short time, Fiona immediately felt at home, as Monica’s eldest son took her for walks every day and allowed her to climb on the sofa. She is also sleeping with Myanni and is effectively the new queen of the house.
If balm for your soul is what you need to read right now, I humbly present a balding peeing potbellied pit bull named Princess Fiona, and a 5 year old named Myanni who asked the animal shelter, “Do you take Cash App or card?” https://t.co/spvI1JQVPl pic.twitter.com/c1BJjpPNoj
