A distressing video showed a devastated mother dog digging the graves of her pups and trying to take them away. When puppies were born with problems in Suzhou, Anhui Province, China, tragedy struck.

Mr Chen, the owner, claims that two puppies died during maternity and that their buried bodies were picked up “five or six times”.

In the first video, the dog is seen holding a dead puppy in her jaws while her owner pets her and finally tries to remove the corpse from between her teeth.

In the second video, the mother appears licking the bodies of two puppies buried in a shallow grave after digging the soil to reach them.

The dog, who appears depressed and crying, reacts to her owner’s loving touches.

In the third video, the dog appears wandering on the road carrying one of the dead puppies between her teeth.

At the end of the video, Mr. Chen removes the puppy from the dog and holds its limp body in the palm of his hand.

It is not known if any other puppies survived birth.
