It’s hard to say how long this stray dog was stuck in a metal gate before rescuers finally came to her aid, but she must have been terrified – stuck alone and unable to get help for herself.

Animal Aid Unlimited, a rescue organization in Udaipur, India, posted a video of the desperate dog. While the neighbors heard her screams, they were afraid of the dogs and did not try to free her.

Rescuers from Animal Aid showed up, calmed her down and gained her confidence before trying to pull her out of her critical condition. Maybe she felt like they were there to help her, because she allowed herself to be caressed and caressed.

Animal Aid rescuers then gently pulled the distressed dog out of her predicament, whispering to her and stroking her head the entire time.

Animal Aid returned her to the shelter, where she recovered and was spayed. Unfortunately, due to the huge numbers of stray dogs living on the streets in India, it is not possible for rescues to find a home for every animal they rescue. This puppy will likely be released back onto the streets.

But at least now she knows that if she ever needs help again, there are good humans around who will give it to her.
