This story speaks about Xingyi Danielle who lives in Singapore and she decided to visit her dad who lives China. However, as you know people eat dogs in Asia.Once, they came across a group of people selling puppies and every year, millions of dogs are sold for slaughter.
Xingyi and her father saw the dogs that were being sold for their meat alive inside bags, and Xingyi’s father could save only one and he freed the dog as well as named him Doggo.
Doggo has been living at his office because his apartment does not allow dogs however it is just temporary and the dog will move, once a finer living condition is discovered. What’s important is that Doggo is alive. Every year in late June, about 10,000 cats and dogs are consumed in The Lychee and Dog Meat Festival. According to the Huffington Post.
Most of the dogs who are stolen from their homes and are either beaten to death or stripped alive. There is a step in the right direction about that issue because recent outrage and criticism has banned the sale of dog meat this year.
Most importantly, Doggo didn’t end up on someone’s burger plate. The dog couldn’t be happier to be given a second chance at life.
“I was quite proud, to be honest,” said Danielle about her dad’s spontaneous act of kindness. You go dad!
